Inventory

Click the CPU menu bar icon. Choose Try Sample to explore, or Rescan for local inventory. Add application folders with the system folder picker and remove them in Settings. Command-comma opens Settings. Unknown means a main-executable header could not be read or recognized. Architecture does not guarantee compatibility. Running now lists app bundles reported with Intel architecture. Unbundled processes may be absent. Copy list places the visible rows, including file paths, on the clipboard.

Update review

Choose Update review in the panel, or Review update in an app row's actions. Choose app and select one app. Choose Inspect now, then Pin as baseline. After the app updates, choose Inspect now again. Changes to architecture, version, bundle identifier, declared signing identifier, signing team and declared entitlements appear together. Choose Acknowledge changes to save a new dated baseline revision. Inspecting never moves the baseline. An observation older than one day is stale. Inspect again before you acknowledge it.

When a read fails

The last complete observation stays visible with its date and is marked stale. Acknowledgement is disabled. If access is unavailable, choose the app again. If a different bundle identity is found, choose Start new review. The earlier record is kept. If saved review data cannot be read, changes pause. Choose Retry saved data, or Start fresh, which keeps a copy of the unreadable file.

What is compared

Only the main-executable architecture and the signing information that macOS reports for the code it selects. Helpers, embedded code, signatures for other architectures, effective privacy permissions, network traffic and real compatibility are not inspected. Reading signing information is not signature validation. A result is not a safety, malware or compatibility verdict.

Reports and removal

Copy review report places a report without file paths on the clipboard. Remove deletes a review record and its saved access. Sample review records are synthetic and are not saved. Website actions open your browser and do not install an update.
